Education ministry discourages high number of pupils in schools

The Director of Basic Education in Tonj State says high number of pupils in Bongo Primary School is against the education policy.
 
Makal Ameech-rot Lilic mentions that the state ministry of education got the report stating that Bongo Primary School registered 2,000 learners.
 
He explains that according to education act of South Sudan, each class is supposed to contain at least 45 learners only.
 
Kamic Deng Mayen, Director of Administration and Finance says, Bongo Primary is the school of the community interest and that is why it has high admittance this year.
 
Umer Babikir Muktar highlighted that unlike other government schools in Tonj, Bongo primary have well established rules and regulations.
 
The speakers gave the statement during the round table discussion program on Thursday in Tonj.
