The Director General of Gender and Social Welfare under the ministry of education in Gbudue state says the condition of former child solders released in Yambio last month is improving.
Rev John Zeburunga says the government and partners in Yambio are taking care of about sixty and above former child solders. Anisa Radio reports
Zeburunga says they have been offering them Psycho-social support training so that they can forget the atrocities they went through in the bush.
These children will be re-integrated back into the community to continue with their normal life, he adds.
The director says out of the over 300 child soldiers released, more than 32 are girls.
He warns parents not to allow children below 18 years to be a solder because it is against the policy of the government of Gbudue state.
Zeburunga concludes that the government and the partners are working hard to see that all child soldiers are released and reintegrated into the community.
