Adventist Development and Relief Agency or ADRA on Monday distributed food items to three hundred and eighty farmers to support their activities in Tonj State.
The items include maize, beans, salt and cooking oil, Don Bosco Radio reports.
Joseph Ajuong, one of ADRA Boma committee managers, says the policy started last year with the aim of fighting hunger in the state.
The manager reveals that climate change had affected productivity of some farmers last year.
By supporting the farmers with tools and food items will keep them strong and have ability to cultivate more in the coming rainy season, he adds.
Joseph Domaya, one of the beneficiaries, appreciates ADRA for supporting the community with food.
Nyingong Ater Achuil, another beneficiary, urges the organization to provide farmers with additional tools and seeds, before the rain comes.
