Tombura Central Payam struggles to get clean water

The community members of Tombura Central Payam say they always struggle to get clean drinking water from boreholes because they are not enough.
 
Jackline Albert complains that her area lacks enough water points, forcing the people to always get water from Yubu and Mabaiku streams, Anisa Radio reports.
 
Taban, another community member says they always find it hard to get water.
 
They appeal to the State government to construct more boreholes and speed up the water project to rescue the community.
 
In 2015, UNOPS established a project for major water points in three different areas in Tombura County, to supply clean drinking water. But the water points are not functional.
 
Richard Michael Dazanga, State Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Public Utilities expresses commitment to work hard and rehabilitate Tombura West Water Project.
 
He appeals to the community, especially those who have their own private water sources at home, to share with the rest of the community members.
