The Minister of General Education and Instruction has warned all public schools against charging school fees.

Deng Deng Hoc told Journalists on Wednesday that his ministry will follow up schools that have failed to comply with the policy of free education for all, Bakhita Radio reports.

He warns head teachers to desist from the practice or else face consequences.

Minister Hoc adds that whoever violates the order will risk losing his or her job.

Early last year, the ministry declared a policy of free education for public schools all over the country.

But he says they have registered complaints from parents that some schools are still asking for school fees.
