The ministry of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development is planning to reduce the fee for work permits by fifty percent, minister discloses.
Gathoth Gatkuoth Hothnyang told Journalists on Tuesday that the policy will be applied in each category, Radio Bakhita reports.
There is political and economic pressure that demands the government to ease access of the workers especially foreign nationals in the country, he says.
In November last year, the government increased work permit fees for foreign nationals working in the country.
The increment was classified into three categories: consultants and managers pay 4000 US Dollars, professionals 3000, while technicians and casual laborers pay 2000 and 1000 respectively.
