Education official in Lopa County of Imotong State acknowledges that back to learning program improves the school enrollment.
Mark Ohuyoro Alex, Deputy Director for Education Lopa County, confirms to Radio Emmanuel that the launch of back to learning has resulted to high enrolment of children in schools around the area.
He criticizes harmful traditional practices of sending children to scare birds from eating produce in a garden which hinders children’s performance.
Ohuyoro calls on parents to value the education of their young ones by sending them to school.
He complains that many schools in the area lack scholastic materials that led to the closure of some institutions last year.

Whereas Juma Akara Abalu, head teacher of Habirongi Primary School says his school closes previously due to lack of teachers.
He appreciates the local communities for standing firm with the school administration in ensuring smooth running of the school.
Akara appeals to the state government and education partners to support female learners with sanitary pads.
