The Catholic Diocese of Yei on Monday started four-day spiritual Eucharistic adoration in preparation for one-day prayer and fasting for peace in South Sudan and the DR Congo on Friday as declared by Pope Francis.
The adoration was announced on Sunday in a letter circulated to all chapels, Easter Radio reports.
Speaking on Monday during the start of the adoration, Fr Tom Poru Martin, says the adoration is special for the people of South Sudan.
The priest regrets the fact that people do not forgive one another, causing unnecessary death in the country.
The prayer day and fasting is expected to take place on Friday this week.
