UNMISS rehabilitation of roads from Jambo to Gbudue State and other areas will reduce the cost of transport by air, says Governor of Amadi State.

Joseph Ngere Paciko says maintenance of the road will enable citizens to move freely from Juba to Western Equatoria region.

He discloses to Radio Anisa that travelers are currently using the road which signifies peace in the area.

Ngere says for peace to prevail in the country, it is a collective responsibility of every citizen and leaders to work hard at every level.

He urges leaders participating at the High Level Revitalization Forum to work firmly to realize peace in the country.

The governor notes that the neighboring countries are there to give advice to the process, but that the solution for sustainable peace is from South Sudanese people.

He encourages citizens of Great Western Equatoria to prioritize agricultural activities as people in Amadi State have started preparing fields for cultivation.

The Governor was speaking to Radio Anisa in a telephone interview on Monday from Amadi State.
