Imotong State Legislative Assembly Speaker is urging Christians to observe lent season by recognizing the suffering of Jesus Christ who suffered because of people’s sins.
 
Charles Udwar says the beginning of lent known as Ash Wednesday signifies a moment when Christians have to repent and forgive those who wronged them, Emmanuel Radio reports.
 
He calls on Christians to imitate the life of Jesus Christ.
 
The speaker also urges them to help the needy in terms of food and other needs.
 
Udwar emphasizes on the need to work for peace to end the current suffering in South Sudan.
 
He urges the negotiating team to compromise and bring peace back in the country.
 
The speaker was talking to Radio Emmanuel in an interview in Torit on Wednesday.
