The Governor of Tonj State claims that there are no checkpoints in South Sudan; following last year’s presidential degree of removing all check points in the country.

He urges authorities to respect president Kiir’s order.
The Governor directs all the organized forces at the checkpoints to go back to their barracks to allow humanitarian agencies access the needy and for easy transportation of goods by traders.
He observes that prices of food commodities keep increasing in the market because of unlawful collection of taxes.
