The ongoing High Level Revitalization Forum for South Sudan in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia adjourned the discussion on the National Parliament to Friday due to disagreements from parties.
Government Spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth says they want the Transitional National Assembly to be expanded to accommodate all parties.
The committee was set up to deal with the issue and it did not come with fruitful results on the parliament, he points out.
A member of the opposition groups, Lam Akol Ajawin, says they need a lean Transitional Government so that services are invested on repatriation of refugees, resettlement of IDPs and other developmental activities.
Opposition parties do not stand for positions, but want the parliament that can deliver services to people, he notes.
‘Let South Sudanese at home have hope for peace because the mood in the discussion hall shows that people are committed to peace, says Edmond Yakani, a civil society activist.
He adds that there is progress in many areas of discussion despite few difficulties.
