Acting Director for Public Health in Torit Municipality says the council has put plans in place to improve sanitation and hygiene in the area.
Ben Kalisto Khamis says it is the responsibility of the department of public health to improve the sanitation for the betterment of the citizens. Emmanuel Radio reports.
He says his office will involve the community to carry out regular cleaning in the town.
Kalisto says the general cleaning will commence from public and later to private places to keep Torit clean.
He expresses readiness to inspect and confiscate expired goods to protect people’s health.
The Director advises communities to use latrines and participate in cleaning activities to reduce easy spread of diseases.
