The denial of women’s rights in South Sudan and inequality between men and women are unjust practices in the world today, says UN Mission in South Sudan Head of Field Office in Imotong State.

Mary Cummins believes that advocacy is paramount in changing such practices in the country, Emmanuel Radio reports.

The UNMISS head was giving her closing remarks during training on advocacy and capacity building in Torit on Thursday.

Cummins calls for gender equality in decision making and allocation of public funds.

The UNMSS Head of Field Office urges women to use the skills gained during the training to promote gender equality and empower more others.
