St Bakhita Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio started celebrating the feast of St John Bosco on Wednesday.
Youth Chairperson William Tambua says the young people from the prayer centres and chapels will be in the parish for three days to conduct workshop on different aspects of life, Radio Anisa reports.
The topics to cover will include the role of youth and their responsibility in the church, HIV/AIDs, resource mobilization and assets management, he explains.
Tambua adds that the three-day workshop will strengthen the youth on their roles and responsibilities and know how they can develop themselves and the Church.
He adds that it will bring together all youth groups from the parish including representatives from ECSS.
The celebration of St John Bosco will end on Sunday with dramas and entertainment from different groups of the parish.
St John Bosco is the patron Saint for the entire Choirs of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
