A doctor from Torit State Hospital warns parents against poor personal hygiene and sanitation.

Kainza Sarah believes the poor hygiene resulted to the frequent pneumonia and diarrhea among children in the last six months, Radio Emmanuel reports.

Weather changes have negative implications to children’s health, she notes.

Sarah urges parents to take charge of their personal hygiene and children through following preventive measures like sleeping under treated mosquito nets.

The doctor says most children contract malaria in rainy seasons because they do not sleep under treated mosquito.

Dr Sarah gave the remarks to Radio Emmanuel at Torit State Hospital on Tuesday.
