Citizens in Torit Imotong State are saying the current economic hardship is making it difficult to keep poultry.
 
Some citizens who receive the poultry from NIRAS Organization are saying the cost of raising them to meet the market demands is challenging, Emmanuel Radio reports
 
Amito Mariam, a beneficiary, admits the economic situation in Torit made her poultry to adopt the local feeds.
 
Citizens like Rose Nabalu refuse to receive the poultry for fear of maintenance.
 
She worries her budget will not be enough to feed the family and exotic chickens
 
Nabalu says poultry keeping needs crises free country like Uganda and Kenya among others.
 
Christine Achan, another resident of Hai Ilangi, who benefited from the poultry birds, says they face challenges of sickness and feeding, but hopes she will gain income when hens begin laying eggs.
