The rate of HIV/AIDS new infection is reducing in the state, confirms Acting Director for HIV/AIDS in Gbudue.
Peter Kisira says majority of people are now aware and those who positive are under treatment Radio Anisa reports.
Currently they still maintain the previous rate that is 6.8 percent of HIV in former Western Equatoria State.
He appeals to citizens to protect themselves from new infections.
Kisira advises that it is good for young people to abstain from sex until marriage and be faithful to their partners so as to live a perfect life.
The official emphasizes that people should stand strongly to fight the virus of by knowing their status.
Kisira encourages those who are living with the virus to be committed to taking their drugs every day so that they can leave longer.
