The listeners of Radio Don Bosco morning tea talk show say overfishing is finishing fish in Tonj River.

A caller, Simon Hagimir John from Hai Don Bosco, stresses that it is state government to take full control of the river to stop unnecessary netting of fishes.

The fishermen are using mosquito nets and kill even the smaller ones, he adds.

Hagimir calls on the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to enact strong rules against violators.

Nyandeng Geng from Tonj town says Wildlife Conservation should enforce regulations to fishermen in the country.

She adds that if people kill even small fishes, there will be no fish in the future in South Sudan.

The listeners talk to Don Bosco Radio on Monday in Tonj.
