Culture forces generation to marry more wives, listeners reveal

The listeners of Radio Don Bosco reveal that culture of the ancestor of marrying more wives is forcing new generation to keep on polygamy in the country.
 
One of the callers, Deng Angok, says some people marry many women with the aim of extending their families so that they will be well known in the area.
 
He adds that the social effect of the polygamy is that many children will go to the streets.
 
Another caller known as Deng for Good from Mapel stresses that two wives should be maximum for children to get proper care.
 
Captain Kuol Manyuol says that many cases of corruption are results of polygamy.
 
He adds that public finance is sometimes used to maintain family life.
