More than 70 bishops of the South Sudan’s Episcopal Church are gathered in Juba this week with the aim of electing a new archbishop for the church.
Speaking to Anisa Radio in Yambio the Internal Province of Western Equatoria Archbishop, Peter Munde Yacobo confirmed that a new Archbishop will be elected for the ECSS by the end of this week in Juba.
He says eight internal Archbishops and 65 Bishops are taking part in the election process of the new archbishop to replace the retired Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul
His Grace Munde however calls on the leaders of South Sudan to follow the example of Archbishop Deng of giving other people the chance to lead.
He calls on the people of South Sudan to work tirelessly in the interest of peace to prevail in the Country.
