Deputy Mayor lauds citizens for peaceful celebrations

The Deputy Mayor of Torit has appreciated citizens for the peaceful celebrations, which he described as a unique festivity in Imotong State.
 
Celestino Muras says it is a collective responsibility to keep the security of the state so that peace prevails in South Sudan, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He says no security threats have been reported during Christmas and New Year celebrations.
 
The Deputy Mayor advises citizens not to involve themselves in criminal activities, but rather have peace in their hearts.
 
He tells armed groups not to move with guns in public places to reduce fear and panic among the people.
 
Muras urges citizens to understand the importance of having peace.
 
He calls on the local population not to be scared of the unnecessary shootings going on, because security organs are working hard to protect their lives.
 
Muras expresses readiness to maintain the security of the municipality.
 
He appeals to citizens to have hope for peace in the state and South Sudan at large.
