There was no security threat in Maridi during the Christmas celebration, State Minister of Local Government confirms.
Body Michael says the government is working hard to ensure that citizens and their property are protected, Radio Anisa reports.
He observes people moving freely, except the young man who took his father’s gun and shot himself.
But he did not mention whether the young man shot himself to death or not.
Michael says police are yet to investigate the matter.
He says the road from Maridi to Amadi State was opened, but few people use it because of fear.
The Minister was talking to Radio Anisa on Wednesday from Maridi State.
