A national Member of Parliament and Liberation Council is warning citizens of Western Lakes State not to disrupt the recent declared state of emergency.
The state of emergency encloses three states of Gok, Western and Eastern Lakes States respectively, Radio Good News reports.
Daniel Deng Monydit says President Salva Kiir Mayardit announced the state of emergency to contain the situation and safe people’s lives and property.
Deng urges state government to educate the civil population about the state of emergency.
He says it is difficult for the government to provide basic services such as water, hospitals and schools due to the communal fighting.
The President declared state of emergency following communal fights in the Lakes region this month that claimed some lives.
Deng Monydit was speaking on Monday during SPLM Youth league rally in Rumbek.
