Governor urges armed opposition to respect ceasefire

The Governor of Amadi is urging the armed groups in his state to respect the recent agreement signed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on cessation of hostilities.
 
Joseph Ngere Paciko in an interview with Anisa Radio says time has come for South Sudanese to end war and live in peace.
 
He mentions that Thomas Cyrilo and Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro were among those who signed the cessation of hostilities.
 
Governor Ngere warns South Sudanese within and abroad against hate speech on social media which is tearing the country apart.
 
He cites road ambushes, robbery, rape and obstruction of humanitarian aid to end before people enter the New Year.
 
Governor Ngere says his people celebrated the Christmas peacefully without any threat.
 
IGAD, AU and other international bodies have promised to pressure the leaders of South Sudan to end war and bring durable peace.
