Civil Society Network conducts community dialogue on reconciliation

Wau Civil Society Network in partnership with non violence peace keeping forces has conducted a community dialogue on reconciliation and confidence building among people of Wau State in Eastern Bank.
 
Network Alliance Chairman, Joseph Luka Akuar, said that the purpose is to find a way how they can reconcile with other communities in the state, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
 
Luka adds that the community has come out with some resolutions on how they can enhance the conflict issues through cultural activities.
 
He asked different communities in Wau to take the example of Eastern Bank community.
 
Youth chairperson in Mary Immaculate says people should first know the root causes of their conflict for peace to prevail in the state and the country at large.
 
Peace and reconciliation cannot be achieved when the root causes are not addressed, he added.
 
Marko Magaui Wol urges the government to announce a general disarmament of firearms in all states so that communities in South Sudan enjoy peace.
