The Speaker of Imotong State Legislative Assembly is appealing to the national government to pay salaries of states civil servants who have not been paid for months now.
Charles Udwar complains that the civil servants in the national government have received their salaries up to September, yet the states are still waiting for July salary, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He terms the variation in paying civil servants as unfair practice.
Udwar appeals to President Salva Kiir to intervene on the matter.
The Speaker calls for equal consideration when paying salaries.
Radio Emmanuel could not reach the national Ministry of Finance for comments.
