Mother of Mercy Hospital in Heiban County in the Nuba Mountains is holding a three-day workshop for its supporter staff on early marriage and other social issues.
The workshop that is taking place at Saint Peter and Paul Parish’s women center targets mostly cleaners, cooks and those working for the Comboni Sisters, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Kubitta Idriss, who facilitated the course, says Sister Angelina Nyakuron; matron of the hospital came up with the training of her staff of different departments.
The training aims to encourage the staff and the community at large to be aware of some social challenges affecting them, the facilitator adds.
77 participants including women and men are attending the workshop.
