TOCH in partnership with SAFEWORLD on Wednesday launched a three-day inter-state peace conference for communities of Gogrial, Wau, and Tonj in Kwajok of Warrap.
The dialogue is to bring people together and discuss their differences, says Arich Deng Arich, TOCH Project Coordinator for Community Peace Security, RadioVoice of Hope reports.
He explains that community action group earlier recommended that there is need for dialogue to resolve problems among people of the three states.
There is need for peace in the three states because in the past months, they experienced difficult times, notes Ambi Bola, UNMISS Civil Affairs Representative.
She asks the state government to engage communities in peace building.
Acting Governor of Gogrial, Kaunyin Kaunyin Agath, says peace is the priority of the state government which begins with disarmament and the dialogue.
It is first time for communities of Gogrial, Wau and Tonj to come together after crisis broke out among them this year which claimed hundreds lives.
