Viable Support to Transition and Stability or VISTAS on Thursday handed over a newly constructed women resource centre to a women association in Rumbek.
According to Radio Good News, the building is intended to empower women and girls on socio-economic, political and cultural activities.
Rebecca Yar Dor, a member of women association thanks VISTAS for the building which she says will help them to conduct trainings and meetings.
Yar Dor also appreciates VISTAS for its involvement in peace building and development activities in Lakes States.
Equip the building with computers and constant water supply, she appeals to VISTAS.
VISTAS Regional Program Manager, Richard Obuoy urges women to make proper use of the Center.
He says the initiative which materialized recently, was a result of women complains on lack of a place to carry on their activities.
This is the third resource center that VISTAS constructed in addition to recently handed over youth resource centers in Rumbek and Cuiebet.
