A Priest from Christ the King Parish advises the choir to teach the congregation the church songs so that they all sing together during the Mass.
Fr Tom Poru Martin says that in many churches the choirs sing the songs alone because the Christians do know them. Radio Easter reports.
The songs taught should last for long not to be changed every year, he stresses.
Fr Poru urges the choir to continue singing the old songs or just change the tune like in local languages songs.
The priest made the observations during the opening of a one week song workshop that brought all the chapels under Christ the King on Monday.
