The Parish Priest of St Theresa Isoke in the Catholic Diocese of Torit is calling on children and mothers to avoid giving pressure to their fathers and husbands for materials, but rather prepare their hearts to receive Jesus Christ.
Father Peter Ben Louis says Christmas is not all about materials but having faith in Jesus Christ.
He says giving pressure to husbands and wives increases road robberies.
The priest calls on the local population to maintain roads for easy movement of passengers in and outside of the country.
Father Ben warns that the country’s current economic crisis should not be an advantage to road robberies.
He calls on husbands and fathers to take lead in teaching their children and wives about the birth of Jesus Christ.
