The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei is urging Christians to pray for the government of South Sudan to bring peace.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe advises Christians to be peace lovers and embrace each other, Easter Radio reports.

Bad practices like theft, corruption, works of darkness, looting and unnecessary shooting of guns should be put off, he stresses.

Bishop Lodu mentions that many people in South Sudan are Christians though others hide their Christian names

The Bishop made the remarks at Christ the King Cathedral on the first Sunday of Advent.
