A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit urges South Sudanese to unite and work to develop their country.

Father Antony Ubeo says it is only through hard work and peaceful coexistence that South Sudanese will stop over dependence on foreign aid, Radio Emmanuel reports.

South Sudanese women are over weighed by burdens of winning the bread for their families today because their men do not accept peace.

The Catholic priest says citizens need to accept truth and corrections to promote unity as a path to development.

Father Ubeo was preaching during English mass at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church in Torit on Sunday.
