Let us deliver charity to the needy as one family bound in God’s love, President of Caritas South Sudan urges all Caritas members in Africa and the world.
 
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe appreciates Caritas Internationalis for admitting South Sudan as a new member in the continent and the globe.
 
He encourages Caritas members and their partners in their respective dioceses to maintain the charitable spirit in carrying services to local communities.
 
The intervention of Caritas South Sudan in hard situations is crucial due to the ongoing conflict situation of the country, Bishop Lodu Tombe stresses.
 
Gabriel Yai, Executive Director for Caritas South Sudan, says the emergency appeal meeting is intended to hear challenges facing different dioceses.
 
The presence of partners could also help in responding to crisis needs, he adds.
 
Margret Mwaniki, head of Caritas Africa, promises to help South Sudan on peace building in the country for South Sudanese to live in dignity.
 
The leaders made the remarks on Tuesday in Juba during the opening of the two-day emergency appeal meeting of Caritas South Sudan and partners.
