The school feeding program has motivated him and many others to regularly attend classes and greatly improved performance, testifies a pupil from Emmanuel Model Primary in Yei.

Desmond Friday, a P8 pupil, says his performance improved from number three to number two.

He calls on the UN World Food Program to continue with the feeding program.

Haidar Bidali, Health Teacher, confirms that the performance of pupils was bad because of hunger.

The number of learners also increased after the feeding program was introduced in the school, he adds.

The teacher and the pupil talked to CRN at Emmanuel Model Primary School in Yei.

CRN could not reach WFP for comments.
