The Director for Tonj State Prison Services discourages crime practices in communities.
Colonel George Gabriel Gilo says 250 inmates are now in the prison due to stealing case only because of the economic hardship, Radio Don Bosco report.
The director discloses that among the 250 prisoners, some are women who are trying to divorce their husbands.
Lucky Lino Dafaallah, one of the inmates in Tonj Prison, says life in the prison is not hundred percent good because they cannot be allowed to meet friends.
The prisoner says he has learned new farming and irrigation skills which will help him begin a new life when released.
Another inmate James Gum Machok explains that in the prison they can learn very many things and the mistake will not be repeated in the future.
They encourage the young people to work because stealing increases the suffering of people.
The speaker talked to Radio Don Bosco in an exclusive interview marking World Prison Day on Wednesday in Tonj.
