Business men in Rumbek town market say, bad roads from Juba to Rumbek and many government checkpoints are the cause of price skyrocketing in the market.

Joseph Goupeng chairman of the Equatorians business community said traders face many challenges when selling their goods, Goupen says many business men increase the prices in order compensate the loses they encounter at check-points and bad roads, Radio Good News reports.

Peter Maghok, an official from Western Lakes State Chamber of commerce acknowledges that poor roads contributed to the rapid increase of prices in the market and the issue will soon be addressed in few weeks. Maghok said prices will reduce automatically when many goods come.

The two officials were speaking to Good News Radio on Friday in Rumbek.
