British Broadcasting Corporation of BBC Media Action in collaboration with the Ministry of Education on Wednesday started four-day training for teachers and parents on how to handle problems facing learners at school.

Abraham Nhial Dheiu, headmaster of Bongo Primary School appreciates BBC for building the capacity of parents and teachers to boost education, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He says the training is based on girl child education and how parents should supervise their daughters who are studying in school.

The team will visit all the primary schools in the state to pass the same skill to teachers and guardians, he adds.

One of the parents says the training was useful to her since she learnt the role each has to play in educating children.

The mother points out that some parents are careless with their children during the school time.

She calls on the parents to support their children in their learning.

The speakers made the remarks on Wednesday in an interview to Radio Don Bosco.
