SPIDO concludes grassroots dialogue training in Torit

The Support Peace Initiative Development Organization or SPIDO concluded training of nearly 80 youth, civil society, religious leaders and chiefs on grass root dialogue in Torit on Saturday.
 
Wodcan Saviour Lazarus, SPIDO Executive Director says the training to build the capacity of local community to use diplomatic approaches for resolving grievances, Emmanuel Radio reports.
 
The skills will facilitate community members to ensure unity and peaceful coexistence as dialogue is the only solution to end the suffering of the people in South Sudan
 
Okia Angel, a participant, appreciates SPIDO for the training and advises his colleagues to extend the message of peace to the people at the grassroots.
 
He urges South Sudanese to embrace the spirit of forgiveness for the sake of peace and the benefit of future generations.
 
Lucia Juvani, UNDP representative assures her organizations commitment to continue supporting peace initiatives among communities in Imotong State.
 
UNDP is waiting to see positive results in communities to motivate them to do more funding, she adds.
