United Nations in South Sudan or UNMISS Coordinator in Wau urges South Sudan warring parties to ceasefire to allow displaced persons return to their homes.
 
The call came on Tuesday when Wau joined the world in commemorating the UN Day, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
Mustapha Tejan-kella discloses that UNMISS Chief David Shear requests the transitional government and warring parties to put interests of their citizens first.
 
Tejan-kella says the national dialogue initiative should be complementary and inclusive for all South Sudanese to express their grievances and aspirations.
 
Deputy Governor of Wau State, Dominic Emilio Bufaka, praises the UN for supporting the country since its liberation struggle.
 
The United Nations Day is celebrated yearly on October 24 globally.
