UNMISS urges Imotong government to improve security

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS team leader in Eastern Equatoria, calls on the government to improve security to its citizens.
 
The call was made when Imotong state joined the rest of the world to commemorate the United Nation Day, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
Bashir Aligelle, while delivering a speech of UNMISS Chief on Tuesday, says 86 aid workers were killed on the line of duty in South Sudan.
 
UNMISS will continue with its support to peace initiatives amongst people of South Sudan, he pledges.
 
Margret Itto Leonardo, Imotong Deputy Governor appreciates the United Nations for its generous support to the people of the state and South Sudan.
 
Itto admits access to health and education still remains a challenge to the people of Imotong State and the country at large.
 
The officials made the remarks during 72nd the United Nation Day in Torit.
