Education Supervisor in Tombura State is complaining of inadequate number of trained teachers in Yangiri Payam.
William Luka Uku reveals that education in the Payam is not effective due to low salary and unqualified teachers, leading to poor performance, Radio Anisa reports.
He expresses commitment to ensure that pupils in Yangiri go to school and learn despite challenges facing teachers.
Luka says teachers have been given opportunities to take pupils to their garden as a support to them since there is delay in salary.
He complains that public servants including teachers have spent seven months without getting salaries, making life very difficult and unbearable to them.
Luka adds that the delay of salaries is affecting teachers in the provision of basic needs to their families.
Last week, the minister of Education in Tombura State disclosed that they have sent delegation to Ezo County where Yangiri is located to access education situation.
