UNMISS to celebrate 72nd birthday of UN in Wau

The United Nation Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS in Wau State celebrated UN founding day on Tuesday.
 
Mustafa Tanjani Kele, UNMISS acting Head of Wau field office, describes the day as very important to all UN staff and the nation at large to recognize services that it provides to the world, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
He adds that UN also supports democratic process, good governance and health services with developmental activities.
 
The priority of the UN in Wau always is IDPs’ protection and respect of dignified return to their houses from camps, Tanjani notes.
 
He explains that improving security situation in the state will let every citizen to voluntary go back to his or her house.
 
The celebration is under the theme: ‘Building the future of South Sudan together’.
