Governors vow to improve security in their states

The Governors of Wau, Tonj and Gogrial States have expressed their willingness to improve the security situation in their states.
 
Angelo Taban of Wau, Akec Tong Aleu of Tonj and Victor Atem of Gogrial met on Monday in Wau town to discuss ways of implementing the seven resolutions agreed upon earlier, wich include disarmament of civilians and cattle migration among others. Voice of Hope Radio reports.
 
Taban explains that by disarming civilians is crucial to allow peace and stability prevail along the border state. He adds that they three governors are committed implement all the resolutions of the agreement.
 
Governor Tong of Tonj State, says they agreed to work together to disarm civilians and imprison culprits such that the situation returns to normal.
 
On his side, Gogrial governor Atem, highlights that they also formed review areas to implement the state of emergency, border issues and sensitization of people on total disarmament.
 
He warned that anyone who will be found holding firearm later after disarmament will face the law.
 
In July this year President Kiir declared the state of emergency in some part of greater Behr el Ghazal which includes Awil East, Gogrial, Tonj and Wau
