Tonj officials conduct health education for citizens

Officials in Tonj state say citizens should be aware about information on diseases in the community so that they are able to prevent themselves.
 
Health officials on Friday organized a health education forum, to discuss how citizens can know more about TB and HIV/AIDS. Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
Dr Michael Yai says there is lack of awareness in the community about common diseases such as TB and HIV/AIDS that is why many people are dying.
 
He reiterates a call on the community members to visit health facilities in case of any unknown symptoms on their body.
 
He adds that they have involved chiefs in this process so they could help giving awareness to the community. 
 
One of the participants Moses wol expresses his happiness about workshop saying it is good for the community to be informed about TB and HIV.
