The Director of Child Welfare in the State Ministry of Education in Gbudue State is warning parents against girls forced married but should encourage them to go to school and study.
Veronica Annie Michael says her department is carrying awareness to the public on the negative impacts of girls forced married which make most the girls to suffer against their will.
Annie testifies that they have a girl of fourteen years who forced by her father to marry a man of 45 years but as the girl refused the man her father beat her and chase her away from home.
She confirms that the state Transitional Assembly have passed a Bill of Girl Child that will be soon implemented to reduce and protect girls.
