Chief Commissioner of Girl Guide association is calling for peace so as to path the way to education and for girls to enjoy their rights.
 
Speaking during the International Day of Girl Child, Mary Elias Ladu outlines child marriage, defilement, child abuse as challenges facing girls especially during the conflict, Bakhita Radio reports.
 
The international day of girl child was celebrated under the theme ‘Respect rights of a girl and women for a peaceful coexistence’
 
Elisa says the celebration aims at recognizing the girls worldwide.

Emma Kwaje Martin, another student urges government to promote girls education and put more emphasis on free education for all.
 
According to the Girl Guide Chief Commissioner, more than 35,000 schools all over the country are undergoing Girl Guide training.
 
The International day of girl child was organized by South Sudan Girl Guide Association with support from the USAID, attended by a number schools, government and non-governmental organizations.
