Citizens of Yambio Country of Gbudue state are calling for a community policing empowerment to allow them report on crimes issues.
Citizens from Bazongua Payam in Yambio say they have arrested night robbers who attacked their area and handed them over to the police on Tuesday. Anisa Radio reports.
Levi Samuel Daduyo one of the victims says the robbers stormed their area on Tuesday night at 10:PM and started beating them and asking for money at gunpoint.
Samuel appeals to South Sudanese to stop misbehaving and be against their own people.
He urges the government empower citizens in the rural area how to defend themselves and reports cases of crimes to the police.
Four night robbers were arrested by civilians and taken to Yambio County Police under investigation.
Efforts to get comment from Police authorities ended unsuccessful.
