Students in Juba question Ministry of Education due to lack of teaching in their schools

Jubek state student union has organized a peaceful marched to the State Ministry of Education in Juba complaining lack of teaching in their schools.
 
Rita Dunia Tongun, a senior three student from Juba Commercial Secondary School says the student union marched to the Ministry because they are not being taught for almost two months.
 
She complains that the teachers do come to school but they only sit and leave the school early without teaching them.
 
A teacher in Juba who prefers not to be mention for fear of retribution says they have stayed for nearly five months without getting their salary.
 
He says they need to provide needs for their families. 
 
Daniel Swaka, Director-General of the State Ministry admits that teachers have not been paid for several months.
 
Swaka advises teachers to resume their normal classes as the ministry is working to address the issue within three days.
 
Dunia and other students believe if the strike continues they might not be able to finish their syllabus which might affect their education.
